KC’s Restaurant & Pub to Sponsor Guilford ‘Block Party’ Fundraiser

KC's Restaurant & Pub will sponsor a Guilford 'Block Party' fundraiser for the local drug/alcohol Youth Prevention Organization, Guilford's D.A.Y.

Guilford D.A.Y. (Developmental Assets for Youth) has spearheaded drug and alcohol prevention among youth in the Guilford Community through a series of programs, community forums and educational outlets for the past several years.

On September 15, KC’s Restaurant & Pub will host a very special fundraiser to support the D.A.Y. Coalition and honor the memory of Kaitlin Carney who died of a substance overdose at the age of twenty. The Carney family who owns KC’s believe strongly in the D.A.Y mission and believe their efforts can help many adolescents.

The event will include several kid friendly activities, such as bouncy house, face painting and traditional block party games.  The afternoon will be fill of fun, great food, and music.  A silent auction will also be taking place during the event.  The auction contains antique signs from the previous Guilford restaurant, Chips, which was always a family favorite.

Ticket prices are $20 for Adults and $10 for Kids (12 and under). This includes all activities and great BBQ food! Tickets can be purchased at KCs Restaurant or www.kcspub.com.

ABOUT GUILFORD DAY:  D.A.Y. (Developmental Assets for Youth) is a community coalition comprised of volunteers from the Guilford community, including parents, youth, community leaders, law enforcement, and other sectors.  Ultimately, D.A.Y. works to reduce high-risk behaviors such as underage drinking and other illicit youth substance use and provides our youth with the opportunities, skills and values they need to grow into healthy caring and responsible
