Lake Quonnipaug Closed For The Season, Jacobs Beach Remains Open

Guilford's Parks and Recreation Department said there are no lifeguards on duty and thanked all those who staffed the beaches.

GUILFORD, CT – Guilford’s Parks and Recreation Department has closed Lake Quonnipaug for the season.

“There’s no swimming allowed,” the Town of Guilford said via social media.

However, Jacobs Beach is open to the public to enjoy the splash pad and beach area, but there are no lifeguards on duty.

“The Parks and Recreation Department is grateful to the young men and women who staffed the beaches this summer,” the Town of Guilford said via social media.
