Obituary: Janice (Gordon) Teft, 88, lifetime Guilford resident
A Town Hall worker for 25+ years, 15 of those serving as the Town Clerk, she loved Guilford history and was proud of her role in the town.
Sunday, December 10, 2023 Janice (Gordon) Teft, 88, lifetime resident of Guilford passed away at St. Raphael Hospital, New Haven. Jan was born in Guilford on October 12, 1935 daughter of the late Dr. E. Victor Gordon and Ruth (McLagan) Gordon. Loving mother of Gregory Teft of Bowdoin, ME. She is also survived by her grandson and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Margery Ann Cordts.
Jan is a graduate of Guilford High School Class of 1953. Before retirement in 2012 she was the Guilford Town Clerk for over 15 years, with over 25 years working in the town hall. She enjoyed the history of Guilford and her role in the town and had a great love for horses and dogs.

Friends are invited to a funeral service on Friday, December 15 at 1:30pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. Burial will follow in Alder Brook Cemetery, 375 Boston St, Guilford.
