Obituary: Raymond F. Hartmann III, 79, of Guilford
Raymond worked over 40 years for Moore Business Forms and was a 2015 inductee into the Hamden High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

GUILFORD, CT - (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home) Raymond F. Hartmann III, 79, of Guilford, CT entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness.
Raymond was born May 12, 1943, to Raymond and Marguerite (Pendergast) Hartmann Jr.
Mr. Hartmann grew up in Hamden and graduated from Hamden High School where he was a stellar athlete.
He played baseball and basketball for the University of Connecticut. He was an Army veteran and in 1973 he graduated from the University of New Haven with a master's degree in business.
Mr. Hartmann worked for Moore Business Forms for more than 40 years.
He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching the UConn women’s and men’s basketball teams. Mr. Hartmann was inducted into the Hamden High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015.
Mr. Hartmann is survived by his devoted, loving wife Heather (Gordon) Hartmann; sons Keith, (Kristen) Hartmann of New Hartford, New York, John (Tricia) Slyman of Storrs, CT and Raymond Hartmann IV of Guilford; daughters Rebecca (Jerry) Araneo of Branford, Jennifer Slyman, and Rachel Hartmann of Guilford; his beloved grandchildren, Taylor, Lindsey and Aiden Cavanagh, Sophia Araneo, Drew and Leah Hartmann, and Gage and Gunnar Slyman, and his brother Daniel (MaryAnn) Hartmann of Florida.
Mr. Hartmann was predeceased by his son Sean R. Hartmann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 2, 2022 at 12 p.m. in Our Lady of MT Carmel Church, 2918 Whitney Ave. in Hamden.
Calling hours for family and friends will be at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Wednesday June 1, 2022 from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association as well as the American Liver Foundation.
