Paving Project With Lane Closures Upcoming In Guilford Area: Here's Where

The project encompasses a 1.61-mile stretch of road, according to the CT Department of Transportation.

GUILFORD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced that a milling and resurfacing project will take place on Route 146 in Guilford and Branford.

According to CTDOT, the project is set to begin on Monday, July 7, and be completed on Friday, July 18. Milling will run from to July 11, with resurfacing taking place from July 13 to July 18.

The project encompasses a 1.61-mile stretch of Route 146 in Branford and Guilford from Leetes Island Road to just east of the Branford/Guilford town line.

Drivers can expect lane closures. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide drivers through the work zone.

The work schedule for the project is from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday night to Friday morning.

CTDOT says modifications or extensions to the schedule may be necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Drivers are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in the work area.
