Police Caution Motorists About Icy, Dangerous Road Conditions
Guilford police say crews are on roads sanding, salting, but light rain looks to be instantly freezing on contact due to low temperatures.
GUILFORD, CT — Be careful out there, folks.
Guilford police took to social media to warn drivers about hazardous road conditions.
"We are receiving multiple reports of icy road conditions around town and several accidents.

DOT and DPW are not it on the roads sanding and salting but the light rain appears to be instantly freezing on contact with the current temps.
Please drive with caution and anticipate black ice on the road.

Connecticut State Police say that if people must drive, to drive slowly, keep headlights on and make sure there's plenty of space between you and other drivers.
