Police: Guilford Woman Impersonated Sister for Medical Care

The 35-year-old was charged with impersonation and identity theft in Naugatuck.

A Guilford woman was arrested in Naugatuck on Monday for allegedly attempting to use her sister’s insurance to get medical services at Family Foot Care. 

Naugatuck Police officers responded to Family Foot Care Monday for an impersonation complaint.

After an investigation, Ijeoma Uju, 35, of Schoolside Lane in Guilford, was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation and identity theft in the third degree.

According to police, Uju used her sister’s ID at the medical offices in order to get care through her sister’s insurance.

Uju was released on $15,000 bond with a court date set for May 21 in Waterbury Superior Court.
