Audrey Jean McManus Fred, 90, died June 23, 2025; a lifelong artisan and accomplished handweaver who also explored fiber arts, stained glass, gardening, and music, she shared her creativity while living across the U.S. and abroad.

Thomas G. Black, 82, died June 19, 2025; a U.S. Army veteran and longtime purchasing engineer at Blakeslee Prestress in Branford, he was an avid historian, antique enthusiast, game bird hunter, lacrosse program founder in Guilford, and Christmas party host known for his humor, craftsmanship, and civic involvement.

Rosemary O’Connell Sulzbach, 78, died June 11, 2025; a Wellesley College graduate and longtime New Haven administrator, she was active in civic and cultural organizations and enjoyed international travel, family life, and leadership roles including president of the Madison Beach Club and treasurer of the Connecticut Food Bank.

Samuel Redfern Peake, 36, died June 10, 2025; a U.S. Air Force veteran and senior MEP coordinator for Gilbane, he was an avid outdoorsman, motocross racer, snowboarder, surfer, and devoted dog owner known for his empathy, loyalty, and gift for forging friendships.
