Report: Guilford Teen Jumps into Water to Save Man's Life

According to a recent article from WTNH News Channel 8, Guilford teen Peter Shioppo jumped into the water at Guilford Town Marina on Saturday to save a man whose car had gone into the water.

WTNH News Channel 8 reported Monday that 19-year-old Peter Shioppo of Guilford is being proclaimed a hero after he jumped into the water to save a man's life. 

According to the news source, a man was inside his car when it went into the water at Guilford Town Marina on Saturday night and began to sink. 

They report that Shioppo and his friends first called 911 when they witnessed the car go into the water, and then Shioppo himself jumped in and "punched through the rear window with his hand."
