Road Closures Announced For Guilford Fair Parade: Details
The Guilford Fair Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20. Here's what to know.
GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Fair Parade will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20, beginning at 10 a.m., and several road closures have been announced.
The parade will begin at the corner Whitfield, Water and Boston Streets, and continue around the Green then east on Boston Street to the corner of South Union Street.
Floats will continue down South Union Street to Calvin Leete School, where riders will disembark, according to police.

Whitfield Street will be closed from Stonehouse Lane to Boston Street starting promptly at 8:45 a.m. and no traffic will be allowed between those locations.
Police noted the only route open leading to the town docks will be Boston to South Union to Stonehouse to Whitfield.

"Please plan accordingly and give yourself ample time if you live, plan on visiting, or work in those areas," police said, adding the rest of the parade route will close at 9:50 a.m.
The route will be closed until approximately 12 p.m. or until all the floats and parade participants are clear.
Additionally, "No Parking" signs will be placed along the parade route Friday evening. Vehicles parked in these areas may be towed.
