KC's Pub is sponsoring a fundraiser for DAY on Sunday, Sept. 15th.
Guilford DAY, according to its website, stands for Developmental Assets for Youth and it "is a community coalition comprised of volunteers from the Guilford community, including parents, youth, community leaders, law enforcement, and other sectors. Ultimately, D.A.Y. works to reduce high-risk behaviors such as underage drinking and other illicit youth substance use and provides our youth with the opportunities, skills and values they need to grow into healthy caring and responsible adults."
KC's Facebook page says the fundraiser will run from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Fireman's Field, and then at KC's Pub after 5 p.m. with a live band:
"This Fundraiser will be A GREAT DAY!!! From 12-4:30 we will be down at Firemans field and have games for this kids including bouncy house, face painting, water balloon toss, craft table, potato sack race, DJ and more!!!
GREAT BBQ ALL DAY! SILENT AUCTION & 50/50 DRAWING!
The Festivities will continue at KCs after 5 with a LIVE Band "The Syndicate" and Beer Tastings from local brewery Thimble Island (21+ only)! We will also have additional auction items and another 50/50 Drawing!"
