Sleet and Rain Could Slicken Tuesday Morning Commute

Tuesday morning's commute could be a slippery one as overnight snow turns to rain and sleet in Guilford. A Winter Weather Advisory and a Hazardous Weather Outlook are in effect until 10 AM Tuesday.

A Winter Weather Advisory and a Hazardous Weather Outlook are in effect for the Guilford area until 10 AM Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The Advisory warns Tuesday's commute could be a slippery one:

"THE COMBINATION OF A LIGHT ACCUMULATION OF ICE ON TOP OF A LIGHT ACCUMULATION OF SNOW WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT... ESPECIALLY DURING THE TUESDAY MORNING RUSH HOUR.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING."
