Small Change Adds Up for a Good Cause

Connex Credit Union recently donated Funds to the Guilford Animal Shelter totaling $536.89. The money for the donation was raised from fees collected by Connex's coin-cashing machine at their Guilford branch.

As a part of its community support program, Connex Credit Union recently donated $536.89 to the Guilford Animal Shelter. The money for this donation was raised from the fees collected by Connex’s coin-cashing machine in its Guilford Branch. Connex charges a five percent fee to members and a seven percent fee to non-members and donates the money collected to caring organizations in the community. The Guilford Animal Shelter works to help provide homes for dogs and cats in the town.

“The Guilford Animal Shelter is grateful for the support and generosity of Connex,” said Kelly Weady, Guilford animal control officer. “Every penny counts and these funds will help toward medical care and help provide food for the animals.”

The Guilford Animal Shelter is located at 400 Church Street behind the Guilford Police Department and can be reached at 203-453-8083 for questions.
