Tickets For 'Gilmore Girls' Fan Festival In Guilford On Sale Now
For the first time, the annual gathering is coming to Guilford this year.

GUILFORD, CT — Tickets are now on sale for The Firelight Event, the "Gilmore Girls" fan festival event that's coming to Guilford this October.
Put on by The Fan Fest Society, the festival will take place in Guilford from Oct. 18-20. Tickets for the three-day gathering are $395 and include access to 4o-plus events, activities, meet and greets, giveaways, costume contests, tastings, panels and more, all related to the television show "Gilmore Girls."
"The event has traveled to several towns since 2016, but this is our first event on the coast of Connecticut and we’re thrilled about it," Jennie Whitaker, co-founder of The Fan Fest Society, said in a news release.

"The area captures the essence of our event o well that Guilford felt familiar from the very first time I walked through the green. It was easy to picture attendees milling about town, drinking coffee, enjoying the scenery and meeting up with new and old friends. We expect it to be exactly what attendees want, quintessential Connecticut with a weekend of fan fest activities," she added.
The show aired on The WB/The CW from 2000 to 2007 and was based in the fictional Connecticut town of Stars Hollow, CT. The series has lived on through syndication, streaming and these gatherings.

The CT Tourism Office notes on its website that while the charmingly quaint New England town is not on the CT state map, its inspiration can be found throughout the Litchfield Hills region.
Since 2016, the festival has offered fans a chance to come together to share their love for the show and express what it means to them and how it has impacted them.
The annual event has become a reunion of friends, including a dozen or more cast and crew members, with open arms to newcomers. This year marks the first time the event will take place in Guilford.
Jennie and her husband, Marcus Whitaker, have held this event annually in both the U.S. and Canada, across six different cities attracting people from all 50 states and a total of 23 countries.
"The Fan Fest Society does not produce a typical 'con' in a convention center. Our events are smaller, more immersive and infiltrate a welcoming town alongside a willing cast and crew," Marcus said in a news release. "It’s something that every great show deserves, people behind it, willing to keep it alive."
Announcements about attending cast and crew will begin in early March and continue as logistics are confirmed. The full schedule for the three days will be available by mid-summer, event planners said.
