The group wanted a special town meeting to vote on a proposed $950,000 for a second artificial turf feld at the high school, Shore Publishing reports.
Residents supporting the petition wanted further discussion to debate pros and cons of real vs. fake grass for the field and health concerns with the artificial turf.
