4th Of July Closures Announced For Hamden
Officials are reminding residents of the schedule for town buildings and trash pickup for the Independence Day holiday.

HAMDEN, CT — Town officials are reminding residents and staff of the following holiday information.
Town offices and buildings, including Government Center, Keefe Community Center, the Senior Center, and all Hamden Public Library buildings, will be closed Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of Independence Day and will reopen Monday, July 7 at their regularly scheduled hours. The library’s digital branch is available 24/7.

The Hamden Transfer Station located at 231 Wintergreen Avenue will be closed Friday, July 4, and will be open Saturday, July 5 from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Trash and recycling pick-up for Friday, July 4 will be delayed one day due to the Independence Day holiday. The pick-up normally scheduled for Friday, July 4 will occur on Saturday, July 5.
