National Retailer To Open Store In Hamden: Report

The new Hamden store will be the retailer's second location in Connecticut.

HAMDEN, CT — A national retailer is moving into the former Joann Fabrics space in Hamden, according to The Connecticut Scoop.

The Connecticut Scoop reports Ross Dress for Less has leased around 25,000-square feet of space at 2300 Dixwell Avenue in the Hamden Mart shopping center.

The Hamden store will be the discount retailer’s second location in Connecticut.

Ross Dress for Less opened its first Connecticut location in Trumbull earlier this year.

The department store chain, which specializes in clothes, home decor and other items sold at discounted prices, currently operates stores in a number of other states, including New York, New Jersey, Florida and California.
