Carmelina Giannotti DeNuzzo Iannone, 90

The Hamden resident owned the Starlite Realty Co for 30 years.

Carmelina Giannotti DeNuzzo Iannone, 90, formerly of Mix Ave., Hamden, died at Connecticut Hospice on Sept. 19, 2012, after a long illness. She was the widow of Ferdinand DeNuzzo.

Carmel was born in New Haven, Sept. 11, 1922, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Archangela Ciaburri Giannotti and earned a BS Degree in accounting. She owned the Starlite Realty Co for 30 years, was office manager for Arthur's and Woolco department stores and was a well known psychic.

She is the mother of Debbie Schaeffer and her husband Todd of PA and the late Carol Raccio, sister of Nicholas Giannotti of FL. a son in law Frank Raccio of Hamden, a sister in law Mary Giannotti of West Haven and a grandson Scott Schaeffer. She was predeceased by a brother, Dominic Giannotti.

Her funeral will leave Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and a Mass of Christian Burial will be said at the Church of the Ascension at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday morning at the funeral home.
