Driver Killed In Crash Off Route 15 In Hamden: Police
The vehicle struck a tree after it veered off the road, according to Connecticut State Police.
HAMDEN, CT — A driver died after crashing into a tree off Route 15 North in Hamden early Monday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.
State troopers responded around 2:20 a.m. on Jan. 12 to the area of Route 15 North near Exit 46 (old Exit 59) in Hamden on the report of a single-vehicle crash.
Police said a 2010 Toyota Camry was traveling north in the right lane, when the driver lost control and veered off the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver, identified as 24-year-old Luis Fernando Rodas-Pech, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with suspected life-threatening injuries, but he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
