Donlan Law Defeats Lee Marlo for Hamden Fathers Babe Ruth Championship

On June 27, Dolan Law won the Hamden Fathers Babe Ruth (13-15) League championship in a 6-5 classic at Legion Field.

The game was knotted at 1-1 till the fourth inning, when Donlan scored one and then two in the 6th and 7th. Lee Marlo came back with four in the bottom of the seventh. But starter Ben Kroop and closer Andrew Rowe closed out the game. 

Ben Kroop pitched six and 1/3 innings and Andrew Rowe struck out the final two batters. Donlan played great defense, including key plays by Joe Hansen and Jake Gould, along with good pitching and timely hitting. 

Key hits by Doug Caliendo, Andrew Rowe and Logan Calderone scored critical runs. Donlan was undefeated in tournament play.
