Escape for a Day or Two with the Hamden Arts, Recreation and Culture Department's Trips

The Hamden Arts, Recreation and Culture Department is offering some exciting new bus trips for the rest of 2013, ranging from fireworks displays, lobster bakes, flower festivals and baseball games to historic tours and weekend getaways.  All fees include round-trip motor coach transportation.  

The following trips are scheduled:

• Macy's Fireworks & Cruise – July 4 in NYC in view of the Statue of Liberty, $159 (children 13 and under $119).
• Boston Pops & Fireworks- July 4 in Boston on the Charles River  $59.
• Harlem – June 29 Tour historic Harlem and the Apollo Theater & dine at Sylvia's $107.
• Newport Playhouse & Lobsterfest – June 18  $113.
• Newport Flower Show- June 23  $83.
• Newport “on your own” – June 23  Choose to spend the day in Scenic Newport however you'd like! $59.
• Mystery Tour- June 26  It's a mystery...but guaranteed to be wonderful! $125.
• LobsterBake in Gloucester & Rockport on Cape Ann- July 20 $109.
• Martha's Vineyard – July 13 & Sept. 14 (separate trips) $103.

• World Yacht Brunch Cruise & 9/11 Memorial – July 28  $121.
• Boston Red Sox at Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yard- July 27-28. Includes two games and overnight stay. Prices from $329-$409 per person ($209 for child sharing with adults).
• Atlantic City Summertime- July 29-31 Enjoy a two night stay at Atlantic City Club Casino. Prices range from $259-$399.
• CATS “Now & Forever”  at the North Shore Theatre in Beverly, MA – August 31 $137. 
• Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park- August 23-25 -Includes two night stay at Atlantic Eyrie Lodge & tours of the area. Prices range from $549-$769 per person.
• Saratoga Race Course- Celebrate Saratoga 150 – August 3, 4 and 10 (separate trips) $79 per person per trip.

• Boston Pops By the Sea Concert in Hyannis MA – August 11  $109.
