Former Hamden Priest Accused Of Child Sex Abuse
Police are investigating a complaint against Fr. Paul Gotta, who worked at St. Rita Church in Hamden from 2007 to 2010.

Reports surfaced this week that police are investigating a former Hamden priest for alleged child sexual abuse.
The Associated Press reports that Fr. Paul Gotta, who is now a priest in East Windsor, was put on paid administrative leave last Friday while police investigate a complaint of alleged child sexual abuse against him. Gotta worked as a priest at St. Rita Church in Hamden from 2007 to 2010, according to the AP.
The Archdiocese of Hartford released a statement on its website Sunday saying it was "surprised and disturbed to learn that such an allegation has been made." The statement went on to say the Archdiocese condemns that type of misconduct and said it would cooperate with the police investigation.
