Hamden Hall’s Avery Giorgio Named Area’s Best Lacrosse Player
The New Haven Register has picked the Hamden Hall senior as its All-Area MVP.

Late last week, the New Haven Register selected Hamden Hall’s Avery Giorgio as the area’s best lacrosse player.
In her senior season this past spring, Giorgio scored 80 goals and had 45 assists while leading the Hornets to an 11-7 record, according to the New Haven Register. Now a Hamden Hall graduate, Giorgio will play lacrosse at the College of the Holy Cross this upcoming school year, and said being named the area’s MVP was a huge honor to her, according to the newspaper.
“MVP was truly a dream of mine,” Giorgio told the Register. “Going into my season I usually tend to set goals for myself and just being a member of the All-Area team was up there. But being MVP is such a major accomplishment. It gives me a reason and a place for all my hard work to be recognized.
