Hamden Hiring Full-Time Electrician, Applications Sought

HAMDEN, CT — The Town of Hamden is hiring a full-time electrician.

The town put a callout for applications in a post on social media on Thursday.

“The Town of Hamden is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Electrician,” according to the job posting. “Performs skilled electrical work in the wiring, maintenance, repair and renovation to the Town's electrical systems and all related work. Performs general electrical work including maintenance and related work.”

At least three years of experience in electrical work is required. Graduation from a vocational or technical school with a diploma designating completion of subject requirements in an electrical trade area can be substituted plus two years of direct electrical experience, according to the job posting.

A Connecticut E-2 License is required, along with a Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operators license. A Connecticut Class B. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is desirable, according to the posting.

The application closing date is Sept. 25.
