Hamden Man Nabbed in Wallingford Drug Bust

Two men, one from New Haven and another from Hamden, were taken into custody after a narcotics unit saw them engaging in a rug sale on Quinnipiac Street in Wallingford.

A Hamden man and a New Haven man were both arrested following a narcotics bust on Friday in Wallingford in which police seized crack cocaine and 50 wax bags of heroin, police there said. 

Jerome Robinson, 34, of 190 Valley St. in New Haven, and Frankie Johnson, 22, of 11 Francis Ave. in Hamden, were both arrested after members of the Wallingford Police Narcotics Division witnessed a drug sale in the area of Quinnipiac Street.

Police said both were in possession of not only 50 wax bags of heroin, but also eight pieces of crack cocaine, Morphine and Clonazepam pills, marijuana and cash.

Robinson and Johnson were both charged with a possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, a conspiracy to sell narcotics and a consporiarcy to possess narcotics. 

Robinson was also charged with a possession of marijuana under .5 onces and Johnson was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both are scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on April 11.
