Hamden Man Nabbed on Outstanding Warrants

One involved his alleged assault on his then-nine-month pregnant girlfriend, according to police.

A Hamden man is in hot water over an incident that happened a year and a half ago.

It was Dec. 12, 2011 that Vernon Thigpen was first arrested for assaulting his nine month-pregnant girlfriend, Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said.

The girlfriend suffered facial injuries, Smith said, and a little more than a week after the incident Thigpen was charged with third-degree assault on a pregnant person and disorderly conduct.
