Harvey Horrocks, 78, of Hamden, died peacefully May 4, 2013 at Conn Hospice. He was the husband of 47 years of Ann Horrocks.
Harvey was born in New Haven on April 12, 1935, the son of the late Harvey J. and Juanita Mansfield Horrocks. He is survived by eight beloved children, Barbara Nickerson of CA., Michael "CJ" Horrocks of CA, Joane Eastman of KY, Kevin Castillo of CA, Stephen Castillo of CA, John Horrocks of CT, Shaleen Horrocks-Silva of CT, and Bobbi (Joel) Rosendahl of CT, loving grandfather of Crystal and Hunter Horrocks of CT and 16 other grandchildren in CA, great grandfather of Hailey Horrocks of CT, and 14 other great grandchildren.
He also was the brother of Garry Horrocks of CA and the late Ed, Rick, Dennis Horrocks and Donna Adey.
Harvey proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps.
Friends and family may call Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. A private ceremony will be held on Saturday morning.
