Hamden Police Blotter: April 7 Through April 19, 2025

Recent arrests by the Hamden Police Department. All charges are allegations and not convictions.

HAMDEN, CT — The following information has been provided by the Hamden Police Department and does not indicate convictions:

Samuel E. Carmon, 70, of New Haven, was arrested April 7 on charges of first-degree robbery and fourth-degree larceny. He was being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond with a court date of June 4. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to state judicial records.

Michael A. Lathrop, 36, of West Haven, was arrested April 8 on charges of possession with intent to sell / dispense narcotic, possession of controlled substance – first offense, failure to obey stop sign, falsify marker / license / registration, and operating motor vehicle without insurance. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond with a court date of June 17.

Chester Greene, 54, of Hamden, was arrested April 8 on charges of second-degree burglary, criminal attempt at third-degree assault, and disorderly conduct. He was being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond with a court date of June 2.

Wyvonna Furby, 43, of New Haven, was arrested April 8 on a charge of fifth-degree larceny. She was being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond with a court date of May 30.

William M. Helstrom, 20, of Woburn, Massachusetts, was arrested April 12 on a charge of third-degree criminal mischief. He was released on a promise to appear in court on May 30.

Emily J. Rivera, 29, of Ansonia, was arrested April 13 on a charge of violation of protective order. She was released after posting a $10,000 bond with a court date of May 9.

Christian Santamaria-Mendoza, 39, of Hamden, was arrested April 13 on charges of third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and risk of injury to child. He was released after posting a $25,000 bond with a court date of June 18.

Joby Thomas, 49, of North Haven, was arrested April 14 on a charge of second-degree sexual assault. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond with a court date of May 23.

Jorge N. Rodriguez-Guzman, 28, of Hamden, was arrested April 15 on charges of fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct. He was released after posting a $15,000 bond with a court date of May 30.

Jose Rodriguez, 39, of New Haven, was arrested April 16 on charges of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. He was released on a promise to appear in court on May 20.

Melissa Riley, 42, of East Hartford, was arrested April 17 on charges of criminal attempt at fifth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny. She was released after posting a $1,500 bond with a court date of May 30.

Andrew S. Blair, 49, of Hamden, was arrested April 17 on a charge of violation of protective order. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of June 18.

Tremain W. Brown, 32, of Hamden, was arrested April 18 on a charge of violation of protective order. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of May 21.

Deidre Johnston, 54, of Hamden, was arrested April 19 on two counts of violation of protective order and one count of disorderly conduct. She was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of May 29.
