Funds Approved to Build New Animal Shelter in Hamden
Legislative Council includes funds for construction of animal shelter in capital budget.

An approved $7.9 million town capital budget by the Legislative Council has funds set aside for Hamden to construct an animal shelter for the first time in decades, the New Haven Register reported.
Previously the town leased space at local boarding facilities and at the North Haven Animal Shelter to house animals in place of a local animal shelter, the Register reported.
