Hamden Regional Chamber Partners With Save-A-Suit For Clothing Drive

The Chamber invites the community to donate clothing to benefit veterans.

HAMDEN, CT – This clothing drive for veterans comes just in time for spring cleaning! Freshen up your closets by donating those new or gently used suits and men’s and women’s clothing. The HRCC makes it easy to free up your closet space by accepting these donations during the 2016 Business & Community Expo on April 20 at CFC Arena, 1018 Sherman Avenue.

We are excited to partner once again with Save-A-Suit, a not-for-profit organization that collects new and gently used suits and furnishes the suits to veteran job seekers so they can dress for success. Donations will be accepted the day of the Expo for men’s and women’s suits and accessories.

We are equally pleased to host the Voluntary Services group from the State Department of Veterans’ Affairs in West Haven and Newington. Representatives will be on hand throughout the Expo to accept clothing donations. At the end of the day, they will take those donated items to their facilities in West Haven and Newington for distribution to veterans throughout the region.
