
Lauren Bruchansky of Hamden recently received a $4,000 scholarship from BIC Corporation, which annually awards scholarships to the children of BIC employees based on the students’ scholastic achievements and community service.
This year, the Shelton-based BIC awarded a total of $115,000 in scholarships to 62 students, including Bruchansky, who is studying Mathematics at Fairfield University. She is the daughter of Ann Bruchansky.
BIC Corporation began its scholarship program in 1971 to support future leaders and to help employees' children defray the cost of college and graduate school.
