Hamden’s Freskos Offering Free Gyros To Raise Funds For Ukraine

The popular Greek restaurant is offering free gyros to help raise funds for mothers and children in need in Ukraine.

HAMDEN, CT — Freskos in Hamden is offering free gyros to help raise funds for mothers and children in need in Ukraine.

“Free Gyros to support a great cause?!” the owners wrote in a post on the Freskos Facebook page. “You read correctly! On Thursday, March 10th, Freskos will be offering one free gyro to each customer, and for each free gyro claimed Freskos will be donating the cost of it to Nova Ukraine!

“Nova Ukraine is a charitable organization that meets the essential needs of mothers and children, and Freskos is thrilled to demonstrate the Greek Ideal of ‘filotimo’, which translates to ‘love of honor’ and represents the act of paying it forward!”

The fundraiser will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Freskos, 2323 Whitney Avenue in Hamden, on March 10.
