Hamden Uses Survey to Determine Residents Opinions About Maselli Farm Property's Future

Hamden is trying to incorporate residents' opinions for the future of the Gilbert Avenue property.

Hamden is requesting that residents take a survey about what they think should happen to what used to be the Maselli Farm property, according to the New Haven Register.

The survey asks numerous questions regarding the future use of the farm, as well as opinions on current ideas in place, such as open space and other recreational options the town is prepared to offer, according to the Register.

It has already been decided that the property will not be developed, but the options for the property are still vast, including walking and biking trails, as well as picnic areas.

Developers have tried to get their hands on the 33-acre site at 390 Gilbert Ave., but the town remains firm in their plans to maintain it as open, recreational space, the Register reported. A part of the plot was sold to build a home as part of Habitat for Humanity, which was renovated and sold under the charitable program.
