Hamden's Election Season Heating Up: Democrats Looking for Candidates
Anyone interested in running for a local office on the Democratic ticket should plan to attend this month's Town Committee meeting.

The Hamden Democratic Party will hold a meeting on Monday, June 24 at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center, Miller Memorial Library, 2901 Dixwell Avenue.
The agenda includes a discussion about the upcoming Hamden municipal elections. This year, Hamden will be electing a mayor, town clerk, six at-large Legislative Council members, nine district Council members, six members of the Board of Education for four years, and one member of the Board of Education for two years.
Anyone interested in being considered for nomination is invited to attend the June 24th meeting to meet the members of the Town Committee. The Hamden Democratic Town Committee will be nominating candidates for all of these offices at its meeting/ convention on Monday, July 22 at 7 p.m. at Thornton Wilder Hall in the Miller Memorial Library.

Also on the agenda at the June 24th meeting will be the filling of a vacancy among the Democratic Justices of the Peace in Hamden. Any registered Democrat interested in being considered for that position should send his/her resume and letter of interest to the Hamden Town Clerk’s office, and to Hamden Democratic Party chair Lewis Panzo at lpanzo@chiallc.com.
