Overcoming deafness and blindness, Helen Keller (1880-1968) inspired people throughout the world through her speaking engagements and books. This remarkable person was a disability rights advocate, political activist and founder of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). For three decades, from 1936 to 1968, she lived in Easton, CT. Find out more about Helen Keller’s achievements and politics by attending our Zoom program Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.
The presenter Mark Albertson teaches history at Norwalk Community College in Norwalk, Connecticut. An engaging speaker, he has presented on many topics: history, politics and current events. He is the historical research editor at Army Aviation magazine in Monroe, Connecticut; and is the historian for the Army Aviation Association of America.
