Hamden Obituaries: Kathleen Sullivan, 59

Kathleen Sullivan, 59, a lifelong resident of Hamden, passed away at home on June 5,2013. 

She was the mother of Timothy (Dawn) Stanford of Waterbury, Kerry Stanford of New Haven and the late Stephen Stanford, and the grandmother of Jason Stanford and Stephen Marero. 

She was the sister of Eugene Sullivan of PA, Robert Sullivan of TN, John Sullivan of Brookfield, William Sullivan of Newtown, Michael Sullivan of Hamden and Peg Sullivan of Northford. 

Kathleen was born on March 12,1954 in New Haven, a daughter of the late Eugene P. and Henrietta Pigott Sullivan. She was a graduate of Hamden High School and was currently attending Gateway C.C. studying bilingual special education. 

She was retired from the US Postal Service, where she worked for many years as a clerk. She also was employed as a special education aide at Bunker Hill Elementary School in Waterbury.

Calling hours for family and friends will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Interment will be private.
