Kenneth McCoy Gets 60-Year Sentence For Killing Hamden Man

Last week, a judge sentenced New Haven's Kenneth McCoy, 30, to 60 years in jail for killing 27-year-old Dallas Boomer of Hamden.

A New Haven man was sentenced to 60 years in jail Thursday after he repeatedly shot and killed a Hamden man in 2011 following a disagreement about a drug deal.

On Thursday, Judge Jon C. Blue sentenced Kenneth McCoy, 30, of New Haven, to 60 years in jail for the murder of Hamden's Dallas Boomer, 27, according to the New Haven Register. McCoy repeatedly shot Boomer early in the morning on Dec. 6, 2011 in New Haven, and was convicted of murder by a jury in March, according to the Register.

“This was a cold-blooded execution,” Blue told McCoy, according to the New Haven Register. “It was calculated and premeditated.”
