Learn the History of Hamden's Fire Department

The Hamden Historical Society will sponsor a presentation by Dave Johnson, Captain Hamden Fire Department (Retired) on "Hamden Firefighters: Their History, Evolution and Events," Thursday, May 9 at 7 p.m. in the Senior Center Hall at the Miller Memorial Library, 2901 Dixwell Ave.  The building is handicap accessible. 

A  lifelong Hamden resident, Mr. Johnson is a fire historian, webmaster for the Retired Hamden Firefighters Association, collector and researcher. 

The photographic history  program is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served. Please enter by the building's rear door.
