Man Robs Hamden Krauszer's
Police are searching for a suspect who flashed handgun during a robbery on Tuesday.
Hamden police are investigating an armed robbery that happened late Tuesday evening at a Krauszer's Market on at 3300 Whitney Ave.
The suspect — who concealed his face with a white-colored cloth material, glasses and a hat — walked through the front door of the store and displayed a firearm, police said in a news release.
The individual then confronted the clerk and demanded the proceeds from the cash register. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money the suspect fled on foot, exiting via the front door and then going northbound on Whitney Avenue, police said.
Police responded around 11:45 p.m. Officer Jason Venditto and his police K-9 “Viking” conducted a search for the individual and located evidentiary items.
