Power Restored To Most Customers After Fallen Tree In Hamden

More than 4,200 customers were out of power in Hamden, according to the United Illuminating Company.

HAMDEN, CT — Power had been restored to all but 40 customers in Hamden as of 4:30 p.m., according to the United Illuminating Company.

Mayor Lauren Garrett said the outage was caused by a fallen tree.

Some streetlights on Dixwell were also affected, according to Garrett.

"We are in communication with United Illuminating and we will provide more information as it becomes available," Garrett wrote in a post on Facebook.
