New Haven Women Charged in Attempted Burglary
One allegedly entered an Edgehill Terrace home Thursday afternoon while the other waited outside on a bicycle, according to police.

Two New Haven women were arrested last week on burglary charges after one allegedly was found in the kitchen of an Edgehill Terrace home.
Police received a report of suspicious activity at about 4:45 p.m. last Thursday, according to Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.
The homeowner told police that they found a woman, later identified as Sabrina McCrea, 20, of 127 Henry St., New Haven, standing in their kitchen, Smith said. When McCrea saw the homeowner, she allegedly took off with another woman who was waiting outside, identified as Dominique Manuel, 21, of 28A Brookside Ave., New Haven. The pair fled on bicycles, Smith said.

Shortly after that, Officers Robert O’Neill and David Falcigno caught up with the twoMcCrea on Whitney Avenue, Smith said.
McCrea was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass and sixth-degree larceny.

Manuel was charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal trespass.
Manuel, who was released after posting a $2,500.00 bond and McCrea was held in lieu of $5,000 bond. Both are scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on July 5.
Officer Bryan Kelly conducted the investigation, Smith said.
