New President Announced At Quinnipiac University
Quinnipiac University has selected its 10th president, who will succeed outgoing president Judy Olian.
HAMDEN, CT — Quinnipiac University announced Thursday that Marie Hardin has been selected as the school’s 10th president, effective July 1.
Hardin, who will succeed Judy Olian, is a distinguished academic leader, dean and professor at The Pennsylvania State University, according to a news release. She currently serves as dean of the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State.
The announcement was made by Board of Trustees Chairman Chuck Saia following unanimous approval by the university’s Board of Trustees.

“Under outgoing President Judy Olian’s leadership, Quinnipiac has reached unprecedented heights,” Saia said. “We are confident that Marie will continue the steep positive trajectory we have enjoyed under Judy’s leadership.”
Olian, who has served as Quinnipiac’s president since July 2018, also supported Hardin’s selection.

“My almost seven years at Quinnipiac have been a joy, and an opportunity of a lifetime. I am thrilled that Marie Hardin will assume the presidency here — she has all of the qualities and experiences to continue our upward momentum and to take us further,” Olian said. “I look forward to supporting her fully as she transitions into the presidency.”
