Obituary: Angeline Izzo, 92, of Hamden
Angeline, a former registered nurse, taught at the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing and was involved in local charitable programs.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home) Angeline Izzo, 92, of Hamden passed away Saturday, April 3,2021 at the Ct. Hospice, Branford.
She was the beloved sister of Josephine Izzo and the late Mary Izzo. Born Jan. 12,1929 in New Haven, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Julia Paolissi Izzo, she was educated in New Haven Schools and then went to the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse.
Angeline then served as a nurse in the US Army, stationed in Colorado and Germany.

After the Army she went to Catholic University in Washington, DC earning a BA degree.
She then went on to teach nursing at the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing and then worked as a nurse at SNET from where she retired.

Angeline was a longtime supporter of the Haitian Health Foundation, a charitable outreach program that among other things, built new housing for the impoverished people of Haiti. She received a commendation from the president of the foundation and pictures of several of the "Happy Houses" that she was a part of building.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Rita Church in Hamden.
Due to the pandemic a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Divine Mercy Parish St. Rita Church at a later date. Entombment in St Lawrence Cemetery Garden Mausoleum will be private.
In lieu of flowers, think of Angie's kindness and generosity and do something nice for someone in her memory. Arrangements are with Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
