Obituary: Carol Giannotti, 75, of Hamden
Carol, a dedicated teacher in the Hamden school system for many years, loved hiking, reading, movies and spending time with loved ones.
HAMDEN, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) Carol Giannotti, 75, of Hamden died peacefully Jan. 11th at CT Hospice after a long illness. Born in New Haven, daughter of the late Jack & Laura Guidone Giannotti, Carol worked as a schoolteacher in Hamden for 36 years.
She is survived by a brother Jack (JoAnne Hugendubel-Case) Giannotti of West Haven, as well as numerous relatives & friends.
She was the companion of Robert Marcavage, and the "bonus" aunt to Alison Case.
Carol loved hiking, reading, watching old movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service FRIDAY at 11:30 A.M. in the Peter H Torello & Son F.H., 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, and may call Friday morning from 10 A.M. to 11:30. Burial will follow in All Saints cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice (www.hospice.com ) or St. Jude Children's research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
