Obituary: Jamile Malik Waller, 46, of Hamden

Jamile Malik Waller, lovingly referred to as "Millz", was known for his smile, engaging personality and love of music.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Colonial Funeral Home) Jamile Malik Waller also known as Millz, was born on May 26, 1975, and he passed away unexpectedly in his home on December 24, 2021, at the age of 46.

He spent most of his childhood in Hamden. He played football for Hamden High School where he graduated from in 1993. In years past, he worked in the service industry until his health prevented him from doing so.

He was an outgoing and friendly individual who cultivated and maintained friendships at every stop on his life’s journey.

His quick smile and engaging personality made him the type of person that people liked to be around. He loved music and was an encyclopedia of the evolution of hip-hop and rap.

He was an avid reader and enjoyed tinkering with electronics.

Jamile leaves behind his daughter, Jade Waller, his mother, Toni Bennett, and his brothers, Andrew Waller and Andre’ Bennett and aunts, Terri Lee Waller and Tamu Mongillo in addition to a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly,

In response to the current Covid pandemic, there will not be a service but a celebration of his life is planned for after his birthday on Memorial Day weekend.
