Obituary: Ralph Michael Petruzzelli, Sr., 85, of Hamden
Ralph, a loving family man and dedicated friend to many, co-owned and operated Tony's Cash & Carry Superette of Southington for 60 years.
HAMDEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home) Ralph Michael Petruzzelli, Sr., 85, of Hamden died peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Helen Hair Petruzzelli. Ralph was born in New Haven on September 4, 1936, a son of the late Anthony and Jennie Simone Petruzzelli, and was a lifelong Hamden resident.
Along with his brother Anthony, he owned and operated Tony’s Cash & Carry Superette of Southington for 60 years, retiring in 2001.
Ralph is also survived by a daughter, Cynthia (Bernie) Brennan of North Haven, two sons, Ralph (Bonnie) Petruzzelli, Jr. of Hamden and Scott Petruzzelli of Southbury, one sister, Rose Petruzzelli of Hamden, two brothers, Anthony Petruzzelli of Cheshire and Victor Petruzzelli of East Haven, and two grandchildren, Allie and Jay Brennan.
