Obituary: Richard (Dick) H. Nagle, 93, of Hamden

Dick proudly served in the Marines, was very active in the community, a talented carpenter and loving family man.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home) Richard (Dick) H Nagle, 93, formaly from Hamden, CT died on Friday, Dec. 31,2021 at Middlebrook Farms Senior Living of Trumbull.

He was the husband of the late Anita (Dede) Richetelli Nagle. Dick was born in New Haven on January 21, 1928, a son of the late Richard C and Edith Collins Nagle.

He was very proud of his service in the U.S. Marines Corp. and retired from his carpentry business in 1990.

Dick was very active on many committees at Paradise Country Club and the Church of the Ascension. He loved tennis, bowling, pinnacle, golf and relaxing in the swimming pool. After retiring, the majority of his time was spent in Florida which he loved greatly.

Over the last six years, he enjoyed The Villages lifestyle by dining out, listening to music, people watching, and enjoying his favorite cocktail, the chocolate martini. He cherished his visits to CT to see his family and spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his son Richard (Rick) J (Susan) Nagle and daughter Donna L. Scotto. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Rick (Amy) Nagle, Kara (Mike) Bartunek, Dan (Courtney) Scotto, and Jackie (Mike) Dadio. He had nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brother Alan Nagle.Friends may call on Sat., Jan 8,2022 from 9:30-10:30 am at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden, His funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave. Hamden.

His burial with military honors will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven.

Masks are required for visitation, Mass, and burial. Unfortunately, there will not be a celebration of Dick’s life following the burial due to the current Covid situation.
