Obituary: Rosanne Notar-Herb, 70, of Hamden

Rosanne, a devoted wife, worked many years for Leed Himmel Industries and also at the Hartford Research Center.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Rosanne Notar-Herb, 70, of Hamden, died Monday, January 3, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of Barry Herb who she shared over 50 great years with.

She was born in Meriden, July 7, 1951, the first-born child of the late John J. and Elizabeth “Bette” (Meagher) Notar and was a graduate of Laurel Business College.

She was employed by Wallace Silversmiths and then went on to work many years at Leed Himmel Industries and also at the Hartford Research Center.

In addition to her husband Barry, she is survived by her brothers, John T. Notar of Naugatuck, and Pete Notar of Wallingford; her nieces, Gina Notar and Kayla Notar of Wallingford; and her great niece and great nephew, Amelia and Finn Gollareny whom she was like a grandmother to and whom they affectionately called “Titi”.

She is also survived by many dear extended family members and friends. Rosanne was predeceased by her brother, Michael J. Notar and her sister, Joanne E. Notar.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Saturday, Jan. 8th, from 9 to 10:45am.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10:45am and interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
