Obituary: Vincent A. Aprea, 83, of Hamden

Vincent, a special man known for his kindness and generosity, worked many years for the Town of Hamden Public Works Deptartment.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home) Vincent A. Aprea, 83, of Hamden passed away Tuesday Dec. 21, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus.

He was born April 1,1938 in New Haven a son of the late Frank and Jenny Aprea and lived most of his life in Hamden.

He served in the US Army Reserves and had been employed for many years with the Town of Hamden Public Works Dept. from where he retired.

Vincent is survived by a brother Frank Aprea and wife Carole, Nephew Pastor Frank James Aprea and wife Sonia and grand-nephews Matthew and Justin Aprea.

He was predeceased by sisters Carmela and Josephine Aprea. He was a very special man and his family will miss his kindness and generosity.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 at 11:00 am in Christ the Bread of Life Parish Blessed Sacrament Church, Hamden.

Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Calling hour will be Monday morning, Jan.3, 2022 prior to the mass from 9:30-10:30 at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
