Openings at HYS Preschool Program
Children of ages 3-5 who are Hamden residents are eligible to register for the program, which charges fees on a sliding scale according to income.
The Hamden Youth Services Bureau operates a state licensed childcare facility located in the Keefe Community Center at 11 Pine Street. Limited openings are available in the Preschool Program.
Preschool is open to Hamden residents ages three (by December 31, 2013) to five. Activities are developmentally appropriate and include art, music, read aloud, field trips, outdoor play and hands activities designed to develop a love of learning and discovery.
Program hours are 8:45 a.m.-2:45 p.m. during the school year according to the Hamden Public Schools’ calendar. Monthly tuition is based on a sliding scale determined by household income and family size. Lunch included.
